Lithuanian Experts Give Lectures to Promote Academic Exchange with Our College

Dr. Andrius Brusokas, Head of Tourism and Leisure Management Department of Kaunas University of Applied Sciences and his colleague Mr. Wilfred TCHASSE, Lecturer and Project Manager of Faculty of Business, visited our college from June 17-24 to give lectures and promote academic exchange.   

On the afternoon of July 19, Dr. Andrius Brusokas gave a lecture on “Lithuanian Medical Tourism Cluster” to students and teachers from International Education and Tourism School. During his lecture, Mr. Andrius introduced different types of tourism resources and the whole process of Lithuanian medical tourism cluster which involves the cooperation of different industries. At the end of his speech, he emphasized the importance of being a part of some big cluster and jumping out of our own bubble to try new things.

Mr. Wilfred’s lecture on “Intercultural Communication” was held on the morning of July 21. His lecture consisted of three parts: barriers to communication; cultural differences and becoming interculturally competent. Mai Junjie, a student who is going to study in Kaunas University of Applied Sciences as an exchange student this coming fall semester said “I have learned a lot from these lectures. Now I am better prepared for my study in Kaunas.”

During their week-long visit of our college, Dr. Andrius Brusokas and Mr. Wilfred met our President Wei Yingbin to exchange views on further and deeper cooperation between the two schools.

​The last leg of their visit was the Physical Culture and Sports Commission of Qionghai City. Mr. Andrius Brusokas met with the coaches and did some practical workshop with basketball players. He also gave them a professional training. 

In order to make our guest experts know more about our college, IECC Director Shang Zhiqiang acted as a tour guide and showed them around our college.
