HNCST internal student Jiraporn Noisiong(Chinese name Wang Jingya) has won the second prize in the seventh annual “Qiongzhou Cup” Chinese and talent competition for international students according to the results announced by the Education Department of Hainan Province on December 20. Her coach Ms Ling Li has been award as the Excellent Instructor.
The seventh annual “Qiongzhou Cup” Chinese and talent competition for International Students was held on December 1 in Haikou with connecting cultures of the “One Belt and One Road” project countries and displaying Hainan free trade port international students’ talent as its theme this year. This annual event is organized annually by the Education Department of Hainan Province to promote the exchange and sharing of different cultures, to motivate international students in learning Chinese, to turn them into friendly messengers in spreading Chinese culture and friendship and to better serve the building of Hainan free trade port.
Eleven higher educational institutions in Hainan sent students to participate this event. The contest included three parts: a Chinese self -introduction and linguistic skills presentation; a Chinese talent show and a contestant’s national culture performance.
Jiraporn Noisisong(Wang Jingya) come from Thailand. For the first part of the competition she introduced herself through an essay “This is me.” For the second part, she painted red plums with ink and showed her calligraphy by writing the Chinese character “家”（home）. For the last part, she performed a classical dance of Thai to show the beauty of Thai people. She has been awarded the second prize for her outstanding performance.
